Daimidaler the Sound Robot Comedy Manga Gets TV Anime

Nobunaga Shimazaki, Yōko Hikasa star in Asaki Nakama's story of boy who runs robot with "Hi-ERo particles" against Penguin Empire

Asaki Nakama's Daimidaler the Sound Robot (Kenzen Robo Daimidaler) manga is being adapted into a television anime that will premiere next April. The February 2014 issue of Megami Magazine made the announcement on Friday and published visuals from the anime as well as an interview with the director.

The comedy centers around a high school boy named Kōichi Madanbashi who has Hi-ERo particles, the power source to operate the robotic weapon Daimidaler. With the help of Kyōko Sonan from the mysterious Prince Beauty Parlor organization, he stands up against the Penguin Empire that troubles humanity.

Tetsuya Yanagisawa (High School DxD, Heaven’s Lost Property the Movie: The Angeloid of Clockwork, Destiny of the Shrine Maiden, Shattered Angels) is directing the anime at TNK (Ikki Tōsen: Xtreme Xecutor). Nobunaga Shimazaki is voicing Kōichi Madanbashi, while Yōko Hikasa will play Kyōko Sonan.

The manga ran in Enterbrain's Fellows! magazine (now known as Kadokawa's harta magazine) from 2008 to 2012, and Kadokawa published four compiled book volumes. In October, Nakama launched a sequel called Kenzen Robo Daimidaler OGS that runs in harta every other month.
