33 Magical Girls Star in Weekly HappinessCharge Precure! Shorts

posted on by Egan Loo
Franchise marks 10th anniversary with 33 brand-new shorts by every Precure girl

The 33 magical girls from all the previous Precure television anime shows will appear in brand-new weekly shorts during HappinessCharge PreCure!, the franchise's latest series which will premiere on February 2. A different girl will appear each week for the 33 "10th Anniversary Congratulatory Message" videos with new footage.

Cure Black (leftmost girl in accompanying image) from the very first series (Futari wa Precure) will appear in the short at the beginning of the first HappinessCharge PreCure! episode on February 2. The official HappinessCharge PreCure! Support App will not only let fans take pictures with the Precure girls, but the star of the latest weekly "Congratulatory Message" will also appear in the app as a 3D model.

The same 33 girls will join the lead characters of HappinessCharge PreCure! in the Eiga Precure All Stars New Stage 3: Eien no Tomodachi (Precure the Movie All Stars New Stage 3: Eternal Friends) film on March 15.

In the HappinessCharge PreCure! story, the Illusionary Empire led by Queen Mirage has begun attacking Earth. The Precure teams that are on every continent of the world fend off the rampaging Saiaaku, and word spreads on global television news about the Precure girls who fight for humanity. "Precure" becomes a common word throughout the world.

Hime (Megumi Han), the princess of the Blue Sky Kingdom that was invaded by the Saiaaku, fled to Japan. Hime was ordered by the Blue Sky Kingdom's deity Blue to fight as a Precure girl, but even though she became a Precure girl, she simply fled. Blue advises Hime to look for Precure friends, and gives the Crystal of Love. With this crystal, one can be led to a partner. To the shy Hime, this is a convenient item. However, Hime has no idea how to use it, and she lobs the Crystal of Love, saying, "Whoever this hits is my friend!" As it turns out, the crystal strikes Megumi Aino (Megumi Nakajima)….

Cure Fortune (Haruka Tomatsu) is an aloof Precure girl whose true identity is unknown. With her strong sense of duty and excellent fighting prowess, she can take on wave after wave of the Saiaaku enemies by herself.

Ribbon (Naoko Matsui) is an aide to Hime and the partner fairy to Cure Lovely and Cure Princess.
