NAKAIMO's Munenori Nawa directs TV anime at studio feel.

Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) unveiled the main staff and cast for the television anime of Kōtarō Kosugi's Futsū no Joshikōsei ga Locodol Yattemita (Normal High School Girls Tried Being Local Idols) four-panel comedy manga on Tuesday.

Miku Itō (THE IDOLM@STER MOVIE: Kagayaki no Mukōgawa e!, Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai!) stars as high school girl-turned-idol Nanako Usami.

Sachika Misawa (Accel World, Campione!, Fantasista Doll) stars as the upperclassman-turned-idol Yukari Kohinata.

Munenori Nawa (Kiss×sis , NAKAIMO - My Little Sister Is Among Them!) is directing the series at the anime studio feel. (Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!, Kiss×sis, D.C. II: Da Capo II). Yuniko Ayana (Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl, Hori-san to Miyamura-kun) is in charge of the series scripts with Yumi Shimizu designing the characters.

In the story, high school girl Nanako became her town's local idol at the request of her uncle. She and her upperclassman Yukari, a girl who seems perfect but ends up being airheaded, both become idols of their provincial area. They get interviewed (by the town's shopping center), go on television (low-budget cable), and hold concerts (on the roof of the department store). The girls' salaries come from the town's taxes.

An official website for the anime also opened on Tuesday.

Kosugi began serializing the manga in the magazine in 2011. Ichijinsha is releasing the second compiled volume on Wednesday.
