Go! Go! Kaden Danshi Gets Anime/Live-Action Film With Kana Hanazawa

posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Comedic film show the "many disasters in dubbing that affect the anime world"

A film version, combining Flash animation and live-action footage, of DLE's Go! Go! Kaden Danshi television show was announced on Friday with a trailer. The film is titled Go! Go! Kaden Danshi: The Movie ~Afreco Panic~ (Go! Go! Electric Men: The Movie ~Post-Recording Session Panic~).

In the first half of the video, voice actress Kana Hanazawa (Steins;Gate, Kobato.) explains that the film will show the many disasters that happen in the recording booth for dubs in the anime world. The latter half of the video features cast comments from the voice actress.

Yuichiro Nakayama, Daigo Matsui, and Kenta Hamano will appear in both the animated and live-action segments of the film. They play three college students as they discuss various topics in this "easy-going conversational comedy." Hanazawa will also appear as herself in live-action and as the heroine named Dryanna in the Flash-animated segments. The live-action portion of the comedy film will focus on the recording studio for dubbing.

"The first ever Flash anime x live-action recording session entertainment movie" will play in five theaters in Japan from March 8 to March 14.
