Crunchyroll Streams Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san Short Anime

posted on by Karen Ressler
Yuri gag anime premieres April 4 in Japan

Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it will stream the anime adaptation of Kuzushiro's four-panel yuri gag manga Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san. The short episodes will be available worldwide for members outside of Japan. Crunchyroll has not yet announced stream times, but the series will air in Japan beginning April 4.

The story of the original manga revolves around Suzu Nekoyama, a timid, shy tsundere (initially aloof and abrasive, but later kind-hearted) girl loves dogs, and Yachiyo Inugami, a super masochistic, air-headed, friendly girl who loves cats. One day, after a fateful meeting, the two find themselves attracted to each other. In response to Inugami's instinctive approaches, Nekoyama is always bashful. Their friend Aki has to work hard to make jabs at some of the situations of the two, and also to stop Inugami from going berserk.

The cast includes:

    Sumire Uesaka as Yachiyo Inugami
    Nao Toyama as Suzu Nekoyama
    Yuka Otsubo as Aki Hiiragi
    Sayaka Horino as Mikine Nezu
    Aoi Fujimoto as Yukiji Ushiwaka
    Erii Yamazaki as Hibari Torikai
    Shoko Nagahiro as Sora Sarutobi
    Hitomi Harada as Tamaki Nekoyama

Shinpei Nagai (Hiiro no Kakera - The Tamayori Princess Saga, Psycho-Pass episode director) is directing the anime at Seven. Takehiro Miura (Honey and Clover, Photo Kano key animation) is providing the character designs, while Dax Production (Fate/stay night, Durarara!) is producing the music. Masakatsu Oomuro (Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East, Weiß Survive) is taking the position of sound director, while Dream Creation (Chitose Get You!, Sparrow's Hotel) is producing the anime.
