Main cast, staff return on July 1 for "unforgettable summer" thanks to fans' support

A promotional video for Choboraunyopomi Gekijō Dainimaku Ai Mai Mi: Mōsō Catastrophe (Choboraunyopomi Theater Act II Ai Mai Mi: Delusional Catastrophe), the second season inspired by Choboraunyopomi's Ai Mai Mi four-panel manga, debuted on Saturday. The video features the song "Hyakka Ryūrei" (100-Flower Elegance) song by the main cast with lyrics by Rekka Katakiri (Closed/Underground), music by Hatori Fūga (studioCHANT), and chorus by Hiromi Ōhashi.

Voice actress Yuka Ōtsubo excitedly announces that thanks to the support of all the fans, Ai Mai Mi is finally returning on a bigger scale than ever. The video then tells fans that "an unforgettable summer" is coming. The new anime will premiere on July 1 on the AT-X channel.

The cast and main staff will remain unchanged from the first season. Yuka Ōtsubo voices Ai of the manga research club, Aya Uchida voices Mai, Maaya Uchida voices Mī, and Ai Kayano voices Ponoka-sempai. Seitarō Mukai of the comedy duo Tenshin, who played the narrator in season 1, is now listed as "the others?" on the cast page.

Itsuki Imazaki (Beyblade the Movie: Fierce Battle, episode director for Divergence Eve, Haibane Renmei) is again directing the anime, writing the scripts, designing the characters, and overseeing the animation production. The studio Seven is again producing the anime. In the new season, Hatori Fūga (studioCHANT) will be in charge of music at Dax Production with sound director Kengo Kawazoe.
