Alice in Borderland Suspense Anime's Preview Video Unveils Cast

Shogakukan began streaming a preview video for the 12th volume of Haro Aso's survival suspense manga Alice in Borderland (Imawa no Kuni no Arisu) on Wednesday. The special edition of the volume will bundle an original video anime by the studios SILVER LINK and CONNECT on October 17, and the preview video unveils the cast:
- Yoshimasa Hosoya as Ryōhei Arisu
- Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Daikichi Karube
- Tsubasa Yonaga as Chōta Segawa
- Maaya Sakamoto as Saori Shibuki
The story follows a high school boy named Arisu and other youths who are transported to a devastated alternate world. Trapped, they are forced to play a deadly game of survival.
The manga already spawned an anime commercial that Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell) produced last year. Yoshihisa Kawahara played Arisu, while Hidenori Takahashi played Karube.
Aso began the manga in Shogakukan's Shōnen Sunday Super magazine in 2010, but it has since moved to the main Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. Shogakukan published the 11th compiled book volume on Wednesday, June 18. Aso also created the Hyde & Closer manga, which Viz Media released on its own English version of the Shonen Sunday website and in print in North America.
