Japan Expo USA to Host Director/Designer Shinji Aramaki

Organizers of the American incarnation of the Japan Expo convention announced that prolific mechanical designer Captain Harlock film director Shinji Aramaki will attend as a Guest of Honor.
Aramaki worked as a desginer for many popular franchises including Transformers, Genesis Climber Mospeada (adapted into Robotech), Bubblegum Crisis, Gasaraki, s-CRY-ed, Witch Hunter Robin, Wolf's Rain, Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO: The Hidden One Year War, and Captain Earth. He also directed last year's CG anime film Captain Harlock, as well as Appleseed, Appleseed: Ex Machina, and the upcoming Appleseed Alpha film.
Japan Expo Second Impact will be held at the San Mateo Event Center in San Mateo, California from August 22 to August 24. The convention is also hosting Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka.
