UK site adds terrorists and flesh-eaters.

In a press release, the Animax UK site announced that it will adding two anime series: Terror in Resonance (pictured right) and Tokyo Ghoul. The first four episodes of Terror in Resonance, and the first five of Tokyo Ghoul, should be available this week.

Fuji TV premiered the original anime series in its Noitamina block this July. Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Kids on the Slope) directs at the studio MAPPA. Yoko Kanno (Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop, Kids on the Slope) is composing the music, and Kazuto Nakazawa (Samurai Champloo) is designing the characters.

The tagline of the anime is "Pull the trigger on this world." The anime's website give this story introduction:

On a summer day …

A massive terrorist bombing suddenly struck Tokyo.

The culprits behind the act that woke up this complacent nation from its slumber, were just two boys.

Now, the culprits known as "Sphinx" begin a grandiose game that encompasses all of Japan.

Madman has described Tokyo Ghoul, pictured left:

In modern day Tokyo, society lives in fear of ‘Ghouls’, mysterious creatures that look exactly like humans, yet hunger insatiably for their flesh. None of this matters to Ken Kaneki, a bookish and ordinary young man, until a dark and violent encounter turns him into the first ever ‘Ghoul’/human half-breed. Trapped between two worlds, Ken must survive the violent conflicts of warring Ghoul factions while attempting to learn more about Ghoul society, his newfound powers, and the fine line between man and monster.

Tokyo Ghoul is based on the manga by Sui Ishida that has been serialised in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump since September 2011. Shuhei Morita (Freedom, Kakurenbo), the Oscar-nominated director of the "Possessions" ("Tsukumo") short, is helming this anime at Pierrot. Kazuhiro Miwa (animation director on EUREKA SEVEN AO, Gosick, Heroman) is designing the characters, and playwright Chūji Mikasano (LDK) is supervising and writing the scripts. Noboru Haraguchi (Heroman, Gosick) is the sound director, and Yutaka Yamada (live-action Marumo no Okite, Hunter ~Sono Onna-tachi, Shōkinkasegi~) is composing the music.
