Power Rangers: Dino Charge Cast Revealed at Power Morphicon 4

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
New cast will star in Saban adaptation of Jūden Sentai Kyōryūger next year

The new cast for Saban's upcoming Power Rangers: Dino Charge television series was announced at the Saban Brand's Panel at the Power Morphicon 4 event in Pasadena, California on Saturday. The cast includes (pictured in suits):

  • Brennan Mejia as Red Ranger
  • Yoshi Sudarso as Blue Ranger
  • Camille HYDE as Pink Ranger
  • Michael Taber as Green Ranger
  • James Davies as Black Ranger

Power Rangers: Dino Charge will premiere on Nickelodeon next year. The series will adapt Toei's Jūden Sentai Kyōryūger special-effects television series. Actor Austin St. John (Power Ranger's Jason/Red Ranger) is in talks with Saban to return in the series.

Saban describes the story:

In Dino Charge, the Paragon Prisms were given to a dozen dinosaurs for safe keeping by an alien, but they were lost when asteroids hit the Earth and wiped out the dinos. Now in the present day, an intergalactic bounty hunter starts sniffing around Earth looking for the Prisms in order to harness their power and annihilate the world, so a team of Power Rangers forms to find the Prisms first and fight the bounty hunter and other threats with dino-powered swords, blasters, Zords and Megazords.

Saban is combining the Tensō Sentai Goseiger and Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger television series for Power Rangers Super Megaforce, a continuation of Power Rangers Megaforce. Power Rangers Megaforce ended last year, and Power Rangers Super Megaforce premiered in February.

Lionsgate will debut the new Power Rangers live-action film in theaters on July 22, 2016. Writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are penning the script. The two writers previously wrote the X-Men: First Class and Thor films. Star Trek and Transformers writer Roberto Orci is also signing on as executive producer.
