Oz ComicCon Decends on Sydney this Weekend

Oz ComicCon is a pop culture expo covering film, TV, cult, comics, toys, gaming and more. The event runs from Saturday the 13th to Sunday the 14th of September from 9am to 6pm at the Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island.

- When: Saturday the 6th to Sunday the 7th of August. Doors open at 9am and close at 6pm.
- Where: Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island. 41 James Craig Road, Rozelle NSW 2039.
- How Much: Weekend Pass - $50 online $55 at the door. Day Pass - $30 online $35 at the door. You can buy tickets here.

Monica Rial
Scripting, Directing, Voice acting, Monica Rial has been heavily involved in many aspects of English anime production and it's highly unlikely you haven't seen her work. Having worked for many of the Anime production companies in North America, Monica has produced scripts for Kaleido Star, Sankarea: Undying Love, Ben-To, Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Level E, The Sacred Blacksmith, Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash! and Space Dandy and has director credits for KenIchi the Mightiest Disciple, xxxHOLiC and Claymore. Then her ANN encylopedia entry has voice acting credits in over 350 series, including Bulma in Dragon Ball Z but you would have most recently would have heard Monica as Tomoko Kuroki in WATAMOTE. Some of Monica's other roles include Chihiro Shindou in ef: a tale of melodies, Himari Takakura in Mawaru Penguindrum, Stocking in Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, Shizuka Marikawa in Highschool of the Dead, Mirajane in Fairy Tail, Kanami Ishizaki in Darker than Black and Shiro in Deadman Wonderland.
Monica Rial will be on two panels over the weekend, the first will be on Stage 1 on Saturday at 10:00am, the second will be the Animation Panel with Roger Bumpass on the Sin City 2 Stage on Sunday at 10:00am.

The convention does have a Cosplay parade on the Saturday and a Cosplay Competition on the Sunday, but no exact times or location have been given for viewing. You can see the details for the cosplay events here.
