Senran Kagura Original Anime to Bundle With Estival Versus Special Edition

Japanese game developer Marvelous announced on its official website Friday that the Senran Kagura: Estival Versus game's Nyuu Nyuu DX Pack Premium will include a 30-minute original animation titled Senran Kagura: Estival Versus – Festival Eve Full of Swimsuits. The game will ship for PlayStation 4 as well as PlayStation Vita in Japan on March 26, 2015, but the original anime will only bundle with the PlayStation 4 edition of the game.

Marvelous describes the story:

A letter arrives at Death Cram School. Inside is a an invitation to a spa resort.

Yumi declares to the four excited girls that, "No. This is evil itself," points out that they are slacking off too much. Shiki proposes, "When opinions are divided, it's time for boob rock-paper-scissors!" and then wins so they all go to the pool.

There, girls from Hanzō Academy, Homura Crimson Squad, and Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy also come, but Asuka says, "Let's have fun together today" and they call a temporary truce.

However, a trivial matter sets off a sour quarrel and, at Yumi's suggestion, they settle it with a showdown in the style of the ancient shinobi.

In addition to the animation, the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita will include:

• Gessen Girls' Private School 5-piece Niitengo (Toy Works Collection) set (only for PS4 edition)
• Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy 5-piece Niitengo (Toy Works Collection) set (only for PS Vita edition)
• Original Drama CD written by Yukinori Kitajima
• A solo version of the opening theme and an arranged soundtrack CD
• Limited Edition packaging

Additionally, first printings of the game will also include a two-disc game soundtrack CD and a visual book of character designs, illustrations, and trivial about the Senran Kagura's girls. The PS4 and PS Vita special editions will retail for 13,810 yen (about US$130) and 10,810 yen (US$102), respectively. Standard editions will also ship for 7,980 yen (US$75) and 6,980 yen (US$66).

XSEED Games released the first Senran Kagura video game in North America last year. The franchise inspired a television anime series last year that Funimation streamed as it aired.
