The official website for Wit Studio's The Rolling Girls anime began streaming the second promotional video for the series on Sunday.

Narrator: It's been ten years since the great war of Tokyo. The prefectures of the same country once again were reorganized and separated, and each prefecture becomes independent. While strengthening their identity, they made incredible inward development.
Nozomi: My name's Nozomi Moritomo. This girl is Yukina.
Yukina: I'm Yukina Kosaka.
Ai: I'm Ai Hibiki. The "ai" in "Hibikiai!" (lit. resonance)
Chiaya: Chiaya.
Text: They travel from each feuding country.
Masked fighter: Green tea punch!
Text: For the sake of the world. For the sake of humanity. For the sake of peace.
Nozomi: Really!? You'll go with me!?
Yukina: Yes. I had intended to go on a journey anyway.
Text: Four girls (mobs) stand up!
Nozomi: Ok then, let's go!
Narrator: A shield of justice called the vigilante corps that was once a blade against isolation in the world will once again become a double-edged blade, and unsheathe itself in your town!
All: Rolling Girls! We're in your hands!

The website also announced that the four main voice actresses — Ari Ozawa, Rina Hidaka, Risa Taneda, and Yumiri Hanamori — sang a cover of THE BLUE HEARTS punk band's "Tsuki no Bakugekiki" (Lunar Bomber) song as The Rolling Girls for the anime's theme song. These actresses will hold a talk show with an advance screening of the first two episodes on January 4.

The previous video described the story:

It's been 10 years since the "Tokyo Great Decisive Battle." A Japan where all the prefectures have become independent countries. A not-so-ordinary story about ordinary girls, according to ordinary girls. Ordinary will save the Earth!?

The main cast includes:

Ari Ozawa as Nozomi Moritomo, a "normal girl" family runs the "Moritomo" restaurant in Tokorozawa. She's a new recruit in the vigilante group "Hiyoshi Town Propellers." She loves her neighbor Masami Utoku like an older sister. Her childhood nickname was "Nonsuke," and her favorite food is melonpan.

Rina Hidaka as Yukina Kosaka, a tone-deaf runaway girl who travels with Nozomi, but seems like she'd rather travel alone. When she knows she's being watched, she uses polite language. Her childhood nickname was "Yukippe," and her favorite food is sushi with sake.

Risa Taneda as Ai Hibiki, an upbeat girl traveling with Nozomi. She has a one-track mind and a big heart, and is quick to become comfortable in a situation. In any case, she wants to become strong. Her favorite foods are hamburgers, curry rice, and grilled meat. Her nickname when she was a kid was "Uu-tan."

Yumiri Hanamori as Chiaya Misono, a fanged girl travelling with Nozomi and the others. She's collecting mysterious "power stones." Her favorite thing is Moritomo Takoyaki. For some reason she knows Nozomi, Yukina, and Ai's childhood nicknames.

The Rolling Girls is the first original television anime from Wit Studio (anime adaptations of Attack on Titan, Hozuki no Reitetsu). Otomi Deai (second Silver Spoon season) is directing the anime, and Yasuyuki Mutō (Sengoku Basara - Samurai Kings franchise) is writing the scripts. Artist tanu (Tari Tari) is responsible for the original character designs concepts, and Katsuhiko Kitada (Hal) is responsible for the character designs.

The anime's manga adaptation started in Mag Garden's Comic Garden magazine on October 4 and a four-panel manga started in Comic Blade on October 27.
