Gangsta. TV Anime's 1st Promo, Key Visual Unveiled

Series based on Kohske's manga will premiere in July

Bandai Visual began streaming a three-minute promotional video for the Gangsta. television anime on Saturday. The video debuted at Bandai Visual's booth at Anime Japan.

The website also posted a key visual:

Shukou Murase (Dante's Inferno: An Animated Epic, Genocidal Organ) will direct the anime with series composition by Shinichi Inotsume (Hayate the Combat Butler, The Pilot's Love Song), and Koichi Hatsumi (Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I - The Egg of the King, Deadman Wonderland) is credited as series director. Yōichi Ueda will design the characters for the anime, and Tsutchie (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) will compose the music for the soundtrack. Manglobe (The Unlimited - Hyōbu Kyōsuke, Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties) is producing the animation.

The series is scheduled to premiere in July 2015.

The manga revolves around Nick and Worick, two men who take on jobs from both the mafia and the police in the town of Ergastulum, a rotten town filled with mafia, hoodlums, prostitutes, and dirty cops.

Kohske launched the original manga in Shinchosha's Monthly Comic @Bunch magazine in 2010, and Shinchosha published the sixth compiled volume in July. Viz has licensed the series for North American release, and the company shipped the fifth compiled volume in English in February.
