Kill la Kill Director, Trigger Make New Anime For 'Ultra Super Anime Time' Block

The staff of the upcoming 30-minute anime programming block "Ultra Super Anime Time" announced on Saturday that production on a new short anime directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi (Kill la Kill) has been green-lit. The announcement, made at the timeslot's stage panel at the AnimeJapan 2015 event, also listed the animation studio Trigger.
Other anime that will run during the programming block will be the second season of Miss Monochrome, the Wooser no Sono Higurashi Mugen-hen anime, and the Wakaba Girl anime. These three anime will premiere on the block when it begins on July 3 at 11:00 p.m. JST. The block will also air on the BS11 channel beginning on July 5 at 25:00 JST (effectively 1 a.m. on July 6). The block will have a second cour (quarter of a year) in October.
