Hyouka artist Taskohna starts adapting Sakura's route in May

The May issue of Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine is announcing on Saturday that manga artist Taskohna will launch the manga adaptation of the Fate/stay night game's "Heaven's Feel" route in the following issue on May 2. The May issue is running a 25-page prologue. The manga will adapt Sakura's route from Type-Moon's game.

The Heaven's Feel route is also inspiring a planned anime film. Note: The summary below reveals spoilers about the Fate/Stay night story. Highlight to read.

[The story of the film will revolve around Sakura Matō, the younger sister by blood to Rin Tohsaka, but when she was young, Sakura was sent to the Matō household as an adopted daughter. There, she was given torturous training in order to give her powerful magic powers. Sakura was not supposed to enter the Holy Grail War, but due to her getting into a romantic relationship with Shirō, the passion hidden within herself and her mental restraints go berserk. Sakura becomes a large game-changer in the Holy Grail War, and forces Shirō to walk toward a cruel fate.]

The television anime of Fate/stay night's 'Unlimited Blade Works' route premiered in Japan in October, and is continuing this month.

Taskohna previously drew the manga adaptation of Hyou-kaHonobu Yonezawa's adolescent mystery novel that also inspired an anime — in Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine.
