Crunchyroll to Stream Aoharu x Machinegun, Miss Monochrome 2nd Season

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it will stream the anime Aoharu x Machinegun (Aoharu x Kikanjū) and Miss Monochrome - The Animation- 2 as they air in Japan.
Aoharu x Machinegun will premiere on the site on July 4 at 1:00 a.m. EDT. The stream will be available in the United States and Canada.
Hideaki Nakano (Baccano!, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, Golden Time episode director) is helming the anime series at Brains Base (Durarara!!, Natsume's Book of Friends), with scripts by Kenji Konuta (Library War, Ace of Diamond). Junko Yamanaka (Detective Conan films, You Are Umasou, Kamisama Kiss 2) designed the characters and is also serving as chief animation director.
The manga follows high school student Hotaru Tachibana, a girl disguised as a boy. Through strange circumstances she finds herself drawn into the world of survival games by a host, Masamune Matsuoka. The two form a team with ero-manga artist Tohru Yukimura and aim to be the be the best in Japan.
NAOE began the series as a two-part short and then premiered the full series in Square Enix's GFantasy magazine in January 2013. Square Enix published the manga's seventh compiled book volume on June 27.
The first episode of Miss Monochrome - The Animation- 2 will premiere on the site on July 3 at 11:30 a.m. EDT, with new episodes available every Friday. The simulcast will be available to Crunchyroll members worldwide, except in Japan and Taiwan.
Miss Monochrome - The Animation- 2 is the second season of Miss Monochrome, and features many returning staff and cast members. The anime's first season premiered in 2013, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
The original story follows Miss Monochrome, an android girl that decides she "wants more than ever before!" In order to achieve that desire, she puts her plan into motion to become the hottest idol. Usually the type to run around in circles, Miss Monochrome scrambles to make it in the idol industry.
Miss Monochrome, a character created and played by voice actress Yui Horie, appeared as a 3D character at the "Horie Yui o Meguru Bōken III ~Secret Mission Tour~" concert in March of 2012. True to her name, she despises color. After her concert appearance, Miss Monochrome spawned a line of character goods, and she already appeared in the popular social game Girlfriend (Kari) or Girlfriend Beta.
