Garo: Crimson Moon

Heian-kyō, capital and the center of elegant, aristocratic culture is heavily guarded by a spiritual force field -- or so it seems. In reality, onmyōji (court magi who create the spiritual force field) can only defend the palace located in the northern part of the city; in downtown, monsters known as "horror" that feast upon human souls roam after sunset. However a group of heroes protect commoners from "horrors" in darkness.

Atsushi Wakabayashi (Guin Saga director, Rage of Bahamut Genesis episode director) is helming the new anime at MAPPA, with Shou Aikawa (Fullmetal Alchemist, EUREKA SEVEN AO script, story editor) and Toshiki Inoue (Ushio & Tora series composition) as series script supervisors. Takawo Yoshioka (Your Lie in April, High School DxD BorN series composition), Seishi Minakami (A Certain Scientific Railgun S series composition), Masaki Wachi (Kingdom script), Shinichi Inotsume (Gangsta. series composition), and Shigeru Murakoshi (Knights of Sidonia screenplay, Garo script) are writing the anime's scripts.

Masakazu Katsura is designing the main characters, and Masao Ebihara is adapting his designs for animation. Daisuke Niitsuma is designing the props, and Toru Kubo is credited for "horror design." Katsuhisa Takiguchi is the art director, and Maho Takahashi is in charge of art design.

Shigeteru Asakawa is the director of photography, and Chiho Nakamura is the color key artist. Katsuki Nanba is the CG director, while Kiyoshi Hirose is editing. monaca is composing the music, and Sōichirō Kubo is directing the sound at Tohokushinsha Film Corporation with sound effects by Naoto Yamatani. Tohokushinsha is presenting and producing the project with special thanks to Sansei R&D.

The Garo Project began in 2005, with the first live-action series airing in 2006 with 25 episodes. The project has since inspired multiple television series, films, and specials including last years Garo the Animation. The most recent live-action entry, Garo -Gold Storm- Shō, debuted with a film in March, followed by a television series in April.

ANN's review team has already watched the first episode of Garo: Crimson Moon and you can read their thoughts here.

Shomin Sample

Kimito Kagurazaka is an ordinary high school boy who is kidnapped by an elite young lady's academy to be a "sample of the common people." The school is full of sheltered girls who have never met male peers before.

Shomin Sample is based on Takafumi Nanatsuki's 2011 light novel series "Ore ga Ojōsama Gakkō ni "Shomin Sanpuru" Toshite Rachirareta Ken" which is translated literally as "I Was Abducted by an Elite All-Girls School as a Sample Commoner".

Masato Jinbo (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei!, Nozo × Kimi) is directing the television anime adaptation under the title Ore ga Ojō-sama Gakkō ni "Shomin Sample" Toshite Gets-rareta Ken at the studio SILVER LINK Kento Shimoyama (Bleach, Servant × Service) is in charge of series composition. Hiromi Mizutani (Hell Girl, Toriko, Non Non Biyori) of Team-MAX is composing the music for the series and Takao Sano is adapting the character designs for animation.

The Ore ga Ojō-sama Gakkō ni "Shomin Sample" Toshite Rachirareta Ken light novel series debuted in 2011 with Gekka Urū's (Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankei Nai yo ne—) character designs. Ichijinsha will publish the 10th volume of the novel series in October. Risumai's manga adaptation launched in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Rex magazine in 2012.

Dance with Devils

Tomoko Konparu (Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 1000%, Blue Spring Ride) is in charge of the series scripts based on the original concept by Rejet's Daisuke Iwasaki and the original story by Grimoire Henshūshitsu. Elements Garden is composing the music, and Elements Garden's Junpei Fujita and DIVE II Entertainment are producing the music. Rejet's Hirotaka Maeda provided the original character designs, and Yuka Takashina is adapting those designs for the anime.

Wataru Hatano performs the anime's opening theme song "Kakusei no Air," while Pentacle★, a unit composed of the main voice actors Sōma Saitō, Hatano, Takashi Kondo, Subaru Kimura, and Daisuke Hirakawa, is performing the ending theme song "Mademo★iselle."

Dance with Devils is a collaboration between Game developer Rejet, music production studio Elements Garden, and music production company Avex which also includes a PSVita game and manga series.

The manga series was launched by Samako Natsu titled Dance with Devils -Blight- in Square Enix's G Fantasy magazine on September 18. It tells an original story different from that of the anime. Anime scriptwriter Rika Nakase (Rocket Girls, Junjō Romantica) is credited for story composition.

The preview guide team have all discovered that Dance with Devils is literally a musical, combined oddly enough with a reverse harem setting. You can read the team describing their surprise here.
