Voice Actress Chiaki Takahashi Injures Foot in Rehearsal

The official website of the voice actress group Aice⁵ announced on Wednesday that group member Chiaki Takahashi injured her foot in concert rehearsals. A hospital examination determined that she snapped the Achilles' tendon in her right foot. Takahashi personally added that it will take three to six months to heal, and in the meantime, she will be getting around in a cast and crutches.
Nevertheless, Takahashi still vows to attend the "Earphones vs Aice⁵ ~Sore ga Unit!~ event on Sunday, November 22, although she cannot dance.
Takahashi's numerous voice-acting roles include Azusa Miura in The IDOLM@STER, Mitsuki Hayase in Rumbling Hearts, and Omocchama in the live-action Yatterman movie and anime remake. She also performed theme songs in The IDOLM@STER, Cosplay Complex, Rio - Rainbow Gate!, and We Without Wings - Under the Innocent Sky.
Aice⁵ reunited to release its first single in eight years on September 30. The revival commemorates the group's 10th anniversary, as well as its appearance in the television anime Seiyu's Life! (Sore ga Seiyū!).
Aice⁵ is a voice actress unit comprised of Yui Horie, Akemi Kanda, Masumi Asano, Chiaki Takahashi, and Madoka Kimura. Horie is the group's center. Asano is one of the original creators behind the Seiyu's Life! anime. The group was formed in 2005 and released six singles and one album within two years. They performed an ending theme for Inukami! and theme songs for the Otoboku - Maidens Are Falling for Me! television anime and original video anime.
