The official website for the One-Punch Man television anime series has revealed that the second limited-edition Blu-ray Disc and DVD release of the series will include an OVA listed as "OVA #02." Original manga creator ONE wrote the completely new original story for the 10-minute OVA, which is titled "Hanashibeta-sugiru Deishi" (The Pupil Who Is an Extremely Poor Talker).

Other video extras for the limited-edition Blu-ray Disc and DVD include the show's second promo video, the first episode of a special "One-Punch Man Will Start Its Broadcast Very Soon" program, and the "One-Punch Man Hamidashi Gekijō" (One-Punch Man Forced Out Theater) episodes #03 and #04. Physical extras include a "One-Punch Man All Stars" clear poster (only for those who purchase all of the home video releases), a CD with a character song for Genos and a mini drama featuring Saitama and Genos, and a 12-page booklet. Anime character designer Chikaishi Kubot will illustrate the special jacket for the home video. The second home video release will also feature cast commentary.

The release will include episodes 3 and 4 and will ship on January 29. The Blu-ray Disc is retailing for 7,000 yen (about US$58), and the DVD is retailing for 6,000 yen (about US$50). The prices are the same for the first home video release.

The show's official website has confirmed that the first video release will include English subtitles.

The first home video release (pictured above right) will feature the 12-minute OVA #01 titled "Shinobiyori Sugiru Kage" (A Shadow That Snuck Up Too Close, screenshots below). The OVA also features a new original story by ONE. The OVA takes place after Saitama's fight with Mosquito Girl, and it follows Genos as he is persistently and suspiciously prowling after Saitama trying to find out the secret of his strength. Additionally, a mysterious person appears who has a "certain reason" to hold a grudge against Saitama.

The release will include the first two episodes and will ship on December 24. Amazon is listing that the anime will have six home video releases.

Those who purchase all six of the home video releases in advance from various retailers will also receive bonus extra items, such as a foot-tall punching balloon (from Animate), a drama CD (Amazon), a pair of trunks (Seven Net Shopping), an A4 binder (Softmap), or a sleeve case (Tsutaya). Those who purchase each of the six home video releases from Animate will also receive an A4 clear file with each release. Those who purchase the first release before November 15 from specific retailers will receive a key visual A4 clear file.

A bundled edition of the 10th volume of the manga will include an original video anime (OVA) on DVD on December 4. The OVA will feature another completely original story by ONE about the secret story of the birth of Saitama's hero suit.

The manga's TV anime adaptation by Madhouse and director Shingo Natsume (Space Dandy, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos) premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo and Niconico Live on October 4 at 25:05 (effectively, Monday, October 5 at 1:05 a.m.). Viz Media and Daisuki are both streaming the series outside of Japan.
