Hi Score Girl's Oshikiri Ends Granba Manga in January

The February 2016 issue of Gentosha Comics' Comic Birz magazine (cover shown right) announced on Tuesday that Rensuke Oshikiri (Hi Score Girl, Pupipō!) will publish the final chapter of his Granba manga series in the magazine's next issue, which Gentosha will publish on January 30.
The manga centers around an 85-year old woman who has no more relatives and no one who knows her. She resolves to survive and live until she dies naturally.
Oshikiri launched the manga in Comic Birz on May 30.
Oshikiri had been serializing the arcade romantic comedy Hi Score Girl (High Score Girl) in Square Enix's Big Gangan magazine since 2011, but the manga has been on hiatus since last year due to a legal controversy involving multiple game developers. The manga had an anime adaptation announced before the controversy broke. Square Enix and SNK settled their claims in August, allowing Square Enix to publish the series again. Oshikiri's Pupipō! horror comedy manga ran in the free web comic magazine Flex Comix Blood from 2007 to 2009. The series inspired an anime adaptation that premiered in 2013.
Shion Miura and Ban Nishida's Mukashi no Hanashi manga will also end in the next issue of Comic Birz.
