Game ships in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia in English this year

Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia began streaming an English trailer on Thursday for the Super Robot Wars OG: The Moon Dwellers (Super Robot Taisen OG: The Moon Dwellers) simulation role-playing game for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The trailer reveals that the game will ship with an English language version for the PS4 in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia this year.

In the game's story, a new calamity comes from the moon and a cross gate, and the soldiers must fight against the calamity. The game will feature both a "Beginner's Mode" and a "Guidance Scenario" in-game instruction guide that will allow those who have never played the franchise before to play the game. Confirmed mecha include Granteed, and confirmed characters include Akimi Akatsuki, Akemi Akatsuki, Rio Mei Long, Tōya Shiun, Katia Grineal, and Merua Meruna Meia.

The game is the first project in the franchise's 25th anniversary celebration, and is also the latest entry in the franchise's OG (Original Generation) line, which focuses on original robots and characters as opposed to existing ones from anime.

The game will ship in Japan this year.

Bandai Namco Entertainment's Super Robot Wars video game franchise includes more than 90 works (including "Best Editions") and it has sold more than 16 million copies. The franchise launched on April 20, 1991 with Super Robot Wars on the Game Boy system.
