Grand Kingdom PS4/PS Vita RPG's Trailer Previews English Dub

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Game due out in the west this summer for PS4/PS Vita

Video game and anime licensing company NIS America began streaming a trailer for its English release of Spike Chunsoft's Grand Kingdom role-playing game. The trailer introduces the game's factions and features some lines from the game's English dub. The game will offer both English and Japanese voice tracks.

NIS America will release the game in the west this summer on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The PS4 launch edition includes a 5-track CD and softcover artbook. A limited edition for PS4 or PS Vita will include a hardcover artbook, 15-track CD, poster, poster, sticker sheet, and collector's box. A "Grand Edition" will include the limited edition bonuses and a cloth map, pin set, and art prints.

NIS America describes the game:

After the fall of the once-prosperous Uldein Empire over one hundred years ago, the Four Great Nations now wage war to claim dominion over the Resonail continent. Battles are no longer fought by honorable knights loyal to a nation, but by mercenaries who sell their services to the highest bidder.

As the leader of a mercenary squad, the player will lead their troops across a battle-scarred continent, overcoming obstacles and adversaries as they complete quests doled out by each nation. In doing so, they will unravel the mystery behind the downfall of a mighty empire.

With an impressive battle system that combines fast-paced action with strategic planning, and featuring robust character creation and customization options, Grand Kingdom is a Tactical RPG the likes of which has never been seen before. Assemble a squad of mercenaries, form an exclusive contract with one of the Four Great Nations, and participate in war with other players online for the future of Resonail.

But remember—in this new age of war, there is only room for one Grand Kingdom.

The game's Japanese cast members include:

The game's classes include: Lancer, Gunner, Shaman, Challenger, Fighter, Hunter, Witch, Medic, Blacksmith, Dragon Mage, Rogue, Alchemist, and Noble.

The new studio Monochrome developed the game, Toshihiko Deguchi (Grand Knights History) directed the game, Chizu Hashii (Blood+, Loups=Garous - The Motion Picture character designs) handled the character designs, and Basiscape handled the sound. Spike Chunsoft released the game in Japan last November.
