2nd stage play's home video release set for August 3

The official website of the Ace of Diamond The Live II stage play adaptation of Yūji Terajima's Ace of Diamond (Daiya no A) baseball manga announced on Sunday that the stage play series will get a third installment in August. The announcement was first made at the second play's final performance in Osaka on Sunday.

Ace of Diamond The Live III will run from August 19 to September 4 at the Zepp Blue Theater in Roppongi.

Additionally, the home video release of Ace of Diamond The Live II will go on sale on August 3. The Blu-ray Disc will cost 9,800 yen (about US$88) plus tax and the DVD will cost 8,800 yen (about US$79) plus tax. Both will include "making of" footage, after-talks, a round-table discussion video, a special booklet, and a bromide set featuring photos of the actors.

The original Ace of Diamond The Live stage play ran last year from August 1-9 at the Zepp Blue Theater. Pony Canyon released the performance on DVD in November.

Ace of Diamond The Live II ran from March 17-21 at Tokyo's Galaxy Theatre, on March 24 at Nagoya Bunri University Culture Forum's Great Hall, and from April 1-3 at Osaka's Morinomiya Piloti Hall.

Office Endless produced both plays, while voice actor and scriptwriter Shintarō Asanuma (Ace of Diamond's Yōichi Kuramochi, Majestic Prince's Toshikazu Asagi) directed the plays and wrote the scripts.

The Ace of Diamond television anime series ended last week with the 51st episode.
