Kimagure Orange Road Kickstarter Reveals New Reward Tier, Add-Ons

Digital Manga Inc. updated its Kickstarter page on Friday for its campaign to publish Izumi Matsumoto's romantic comedy manga Kimagure Orange Road to add a new tier and new add-on merchandise.
The new reward tier is a US$950 level "Madoka's Bikini Orange" tier. Digital Manga added the reward tier after the “$850-Orange PVC Madness” pledge tier, which included a PVC figurine of Madoka in a red bikini, quickly sold out. The Madoka's Bikini Orange tier is only available to the first five pledges, and it will include a PVC figurine of Madoka in an orange bikini. Kimagure Orange Road's author, Izumi Matsumoto, will sign the figurine's packaging, The $950-Madoka's Bikini Orange reward tier will also include items from the KOR Beach, Madoka The "Tsundere," Teen Romance, and EMOTION reward tiers.
Digital Manga also opened six additional spots for the "$850-Orange PVC Madness" pledge tier.
The add-on merchandise that is now available includes: a set of seven posters; a USB drive; a "beach bundle" that includes a beach towel, sunglasses, and an orange eco bag; a large limited wallscroll; a pub glass; and a set of three different stickers. The merchandise add-ons range from US$12 to US$80, and all of the merchandise add-ons are only available to pledges of the US$20-US$170 reward tiers.
The Kickstarter reached its initial goal of US$34,900 on April 4. The initial goal will allow the company to publish the first 3-in-1 omnibus volume. The other five omnibus volumes will be stretch goals at the following amounts:
- Omnibus volume 2: US$56,900
- Omnibus volume 3: US$74,900
- Omnibus volume 4: US$89,900
- Omnibus volume 5: US$105,900
- Omnibus volume 6: US$119,900
The campaign will end on May 10 at 6:00 p.m. EDT. As of press time the campaign has raised US$54,115.
Backer tiers range from US$1 to US$1,500, and rewards include: digital or print editions of the manga, bookmarker magnets, a pub glass, USB drives, beach towels, sunglasses, eco bags, wall scrolls, signed soundtrack CDs, stickers, reproduction prints, reproduction shikishi boards, posters, and an artbook.
