DoDonPachi: DaiFukkatsu Game Gets PC Release via Steam

Publisher Degica Games revealed on its website on Thursday that it will publish Cave's DoDonPachi: DaiFukkatsu arcade shooter on the PC via Steam. The company did not provide a release date for the game.
The game allows players to choose between different fighters and clear levels using a variety of weapons, bombs, shot types, and patterns. The game features a Hyper Counter mechanic, which allows players to charge a gauge that can destroy enemy projectiles when it is full.
The game is the fifth installment in Cave's long-running DoDonPachi series of vertical scrolling shooters. Cave released the game in Japanese arcades in 2008, and released it for iOS devices and the Xbox 360 in 2010. The game received an Android version in 2011, as well as a new "Black Label" version on the Xbox 360 in 2011. Rising Star Games released the 2010 Xbox 360 version in Europe and PAL territories in 2011 under the title DoDonPachi Resurrection: Deluxe Edition.
