Streaming details, territories detailed for summer anime

Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the Food Wars! The Second Plate, OZMAFIA!!, and Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! television anime.

Food Wars! The Second Plate's streaming will start on Saturday, July 2 at 10:00 a.m. EDT, and will be available in: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Turkey, Austria, Bulgaria, Comoros, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Croatia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.

The television anime series is the second season of the anime adapting Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki's Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma manga. The first anime season aired for 24 episodes from April to September last year. Crunchyroll streamed the first anime adaptation as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for North America.

The manga centers on Sōma, who works with his dad at his family's restaurant. His dad is a culinary master, and he often hosts cooking battles with his father. His father then enrolls him in an elite culinary school that is very difficult to enter, and the graduation rate is only about 10 percent.

The series will premiere in Japan on July 2. The anime will air on Tokyo MX at 10:00 p.m., and on MBS at 26:28 (effectively July 3 at 2:28 a.m.). The show will also air on BS11 and Animax. The home video releases list the anime with 13 episodes.

Sentai Filmworks also confirmed on Wednesday that it has licensed Food Wars! The Second Plate (Shokugeki no Sōma: Ni no Sara). The company plans to release the series digitally and on home video.

OZMAFIA!!'s streaming will start on July 6 at 12:30 p.m. EDT, and will be available worldwide except for Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

The anime's official website lists the story:

Fūka is a girl who has lost her memories. While wandering the unfamiliar town she finds herself in, she realizes that she is being chased by someone. One of the mafia syndicates in town called the Oz Family saves her after she runs away in fear. In this town where friendship and conflict are two sides of the same coin, whose hand will Fūka take? And why does she have no memories...?

...Is the story of the original OZMAFIA!!, but since it doesn't fit into the format, it's been turned into a school story.

Having transferred into Oz Academy, Scarlet finds himself already in trouble. The three boys who save him in his time of need are named Caramia, Kyrie, and Axel.

The anime will premiere in Japan on July 6 at midnight (effectively July 7) on Tokyo MX, and will then air on Sun TV on July 11 at 25:30 (effectively July 12 at 1:30 a.m).

Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE!'s streaming starts on July 7 at 3:00 p.m. EDT, and will be available worldwide except for Asia.

Funimation is also streaming the series as it airs in Japan.

The anime will premiere in Japan on TV Tokyo on July 7 at 3:05 a.m. (subsequent episodes will air on Thursdays at 2:35 a.m.). The series will also air on TV Osaka, TV Aichi, BS Japan, and AT-X.

Studio Comet is animating the new season instead of diomedéa. Chizuru Miyawaki is still credited for design concept, but not as associate director. Yumiko Hara, the sub character designer and prop designer on the first season, replaces Masakazu Ishikawa as the main character designer. Tomoko Miyakawa is the new sub character designer and prop designer. Miyakawa is also the new chief animation director along with Atsuko Takahashi. Hiroaki Tanaka replaces Yasuyuki Itou as director of photography.

Chikyū Bōeibu (Earth Defense Club), the group comprised of the five main voice actors, will again perform the opening theme "Futten Toppa ☆ Love Is Power ☆" (Past the Boiling Point Love Is Power). Koumoto and Murakami will perform the ending theme song "Anata wa Haruka Ittōsei" (You Are a Bright Distant Star) as their characters.

The first season premiered in Japan in January 2015. Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Viewster streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Ponycan USA released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc combo packs.
