Dempagumi.inc Peforms New Opening For The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Anime Starting in October

This year's 38th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., the television anime adaptation of Shūichi Asō's Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan manga, will get a new opening theme song for its late-night broadcast by Dempagumi.inc starting in October. The group is also performing the anime's ending theme song "Psi desu I LIKE YOU." Both "Psi desu I LIKE YOU" and the new opening will get a CD single release on November 2.
Natsuki Hanae is performing "Seishun wa Zankoku janai," the first opening theme song for the anime's late-night broadcast.
The anime premiered as a "double broadcast," airing in the mornings Mondays-Fridays within the Oha-Suta ("Good Morning Star") program on TV Tokyo, and at night on TV Tokyo, TV Aichi, and TV Osaka. The morning broadcast airs five episodes each week, and the late-night broadcast collects those five episodes and airs them together. The anime's morning broadcast premiered on July 4, and the late-night broadcast premiered on July 10.
Funimation is streaming the series with English subtitles as it airs in Japan, and is also streaming an English broadcast dub for the series.

The manga centers on a high school boy named Kusuo Saiki. He possesses supernatural powers that cause unfortunate events in his everyday life.
Hiroaki Sakurai (Di Gi Charat, Maid Sama!) is directing the anime at EGG FIRM and J.C. Staff, and Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Kyōkai no Rinne) is in charge of series composition. Masayuki Onji (Kimi to Boku., Aoi Hana) is in charge of character design. The new special musical unit Saikic Lover is performing background music for the anime. The group consists of vocalist Yoffy, guitarist IMAJO, and arranger Kenichirō Ōishi.
