Singer best known for Nitroplus, Science Adventure game theme songs

The Cosplay Mania convention announced on Wednesday that it will host singer Kanako Itou as a musical guest for the convention as part of its "I Love Anisong" collaboration with SOZO.

Itou made her debut in 2002, performing the "Reichin Rin'inshan" theme song for Nitroplus' Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer visual novel. She has since released 28 singles and five albums. She also performed theme songs for other Nitroplus games such as Saya no Uta and Demonbane, and also performed the theme song for the television anime adaptation of the latter. She is notable for singing theme songs for all the installments of 5pb. and Nitroplus' Science Adventure series of games, as well as the theme songs for those games in the series that have anime adaptations, such as Chaos;HEAd, Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes, and Occultic;Nine. The title track of her latest single, "Amadeus," is used as the theme song of the Steins;Gate 0 game. Her upcoming single "Seisū 3 no Nijō" will be featured in the Occultic;Nine anime.

She has also performed theme songs for such anime as School Days, Myself; Yourself, Hatenkō Yūgi, Blassreiter, AntiMagic Academy "The 35th Test Platoon", and Please Twins.

Anime Festival Asia applies the "I Love Anisong" brand to its anime song concerts that take place at its conventions. Artists and singers with songs featured in anime series or films usually headline the events, and the concerts typically take place at every night of the duration of the convention.

Cosplay Mania will take place on October 1-2 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay, Metro Manila. The convention's staff previously announced Back-On, Starmarie, Shiena Nishizawa, and Riho Iida as musical guests.
