AFA Singapore to Host Voice Actor Yōhei Azakami, Artist Sebastian Masuda

Southeast Asian convention Anime Festival Asia announced on Friday and Tuesday that it will host voice actor Yōhei Azakami and artist Sebastian Masuda as guests. Azakami will make an appearance on the event's main stage.

Azakami was born in Gunma Prefecture, and graduated from Aoni Production's Seiyū Academy. He debuted in 2011 with minor roles in Guilty Crown and One Piece. He voiced his first major role in Gakkatsu! in 2012, and voices Kennosuke Tokisada Ouma in the ongoing anime Kuromukuro, P.A. Works' 15th anniversary anime. He has also appeared in radio programs.

Kuromukuro will be a featured anime for the convention.

Masuda is a contemporary artist known as the "father" of Harajuku's kawaii culture. He has worked as an art director. He is the producer of the 6%DOKIDOKI boutique, as well as the "Kawaii Monster Cafe," both in Harajuku, where his designs are showcased. He is the art director for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's "PON PON PON" music video. He began the Time After Time Capsule, a multi-city project that will gather community objects and donated items from cities around the world. The capsules will be opened during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics to showcase the culture of the participating cities.

AFA Singapore will take place at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Center on November 25-27. Voice actors Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Kanae Itō, and Nobuhiko Okamoto, as well as writer Gen Urobuchi, are attending as guests. Previously announced musical guests include Aimer, Alisa Takigawa, Ami Wajima, HoneyWorks/CHICO with Honeyworks, Home Made Kazoku, JAM Project, Konomi Suzuki, KOTOKO, May'n, Minori Chihara, T.M. Revolution, Wake Up, Girls!, Real Akiba Boyz, Niji no Conquistador, and USAGI.
