1st volume slated for February 15

Indonesian publisher Elex Media Komputindo announced on Friday that it has licensed Miyoko Ikeda and Michiyo Kikuta's Yokai Navi Runa (Fairy Navigator Runa) manga. The company will release the first volume of the manga on February 15.

The story centers on Runa Rindō, a fourth-grade elementary schoolgirl. She was abandoned as a baby in front of the Hoshinoko School, and has been raised at the school ever since. One evening, her friend Sae is suddenly kidnapped by mysterious captors. As the "Legendary Child" with a hidden power, Runa must begin her battle to protect the world.

The manga adapts Ikeda's children's book series of the same name. Kikuta launched the manga in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine in 2008, and ended it in 2010. Kodansha published seven compiled book volumes for the series.

Before this series, Kikuta drew the Mamotte! Lollipop manga series in Nakayoshi from 2002 to 2005. The manga received a television anime adaptation in 2006.
