Strike Witches Erica Hartmann 1941 artist to launch series next month

This year's June issue of Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine announced on Wednesday that a manga adaptation of the Noble Witches spinoff novel series will launch in the July issue on May 26. The magazine posted a short preview chapter and Tsuchii, the artist for the manga adaptation, posted a preview image on Twitter:

Tsuchii previously drew the Strike Witches Erica Hartmann 1941 and Girls und Panzer: Little Army manga.

Noble Witches is a spinoff to the Strike Witches anime franchise, and it focuses on the members of the 506th Joint Fighter Wing, also known as the "Noble Witches."

Kadokawa published the first Noble Witches novel volume in January 2015 and the fifth volume on November 1. The limited edition third, fourth, and fifth volumes bundled drama CDs. Hidehisa Nanbō writes the series and franchise creator Humikane Shimada provides the illustrations.

Kadokawa streamed a commercial for the novel series in June:

The Strike Witches franchise adapts Humikane Shimada's mecha-girl illustrations. In the series' world, the alien Neuroi are invading Earth, and governments develop "striker units" that allow girls with magical powers to fight the Neuroi. The Strike Witches anime focuses on the 501st Joint Fighter Wing while the Brave Witches spinoff anime, which premiered last year, focuses on the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing.

Comp Ace also announced that a manga adaptation of writer Koneko Hoshitsuki and artist fuumi's Lv999 no Murabito (Lv999 Villager) novels will begin in the July issue. Kenichi Iwamoto is drawing the manga.
