Luna Haruna makes voice-acting debut in anime of Crunchyroll's PARK Harajuku: Crisis Team! webcomic

The official blog for Patrick Macias, Mugi Tanaka, and Crunchyroll's PARK Harajuku: Crisis Team! webcomic revealed the cast, staff, visual, and October premiere for the webcomic's Urahara television anime adaptation on Wednesday. The staff also opened a Japanese website.

The cast includes:

Luna Haruna (Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend theme song singer) as Rito Suda. This will be the singer's debut as a voice actress.

Sumire Uesaka (Restaurant to Another World's Aletta) as Mari Shirako

Manaka Iwami (Gamers!' Chiako Hoshinomori) as Kotoko Mentsumugi

In addition, the Japanese website revealed a design for a character named Misa Maruno, without a corresponding cast member.

Amika Kubo, the animator for the title sequence of the Beppin-san television drama, is directing the anime at Shirogumi Inc. and EMT Squared. Masatsugu Arakawa (Nurse Witch Komugi, Bottom Biting Bug) is the chief director. Natsuko Takahashi (Love Tyrant, Kenka Banchō Otome: Girl Beats Boys) is in charge of series composition. Mariko Fujita (Galaxy Angel, Futari wa Milky Holmes) is the animation character designer. Takahiro Yamada (Battle Spirits, Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire) is the mechanical designer. NC Empire designed the logo. The production is a collaboration between Crunchyroll and Chinese video sharing website bilibili.

The anime will begin streaming worldwide, including the United States, China, and Japan, in October.

Crunchyroll describes the story of PARK Harajuku: Crisis Team!:

Several years from now, the great cities of the world will be destroyed by creatures from another planet. Their next target is…Tokyo's famed Harajuku district! Only a trio of treasure-seeking shop girls can hope to save the day. But first, do they have what it takes to become members of the PARK Harajuku: Crisis Team?

Crunchyroll began serializing the webcomic, along with character biographies and other bonus materials, on its website in May 2015. The webcomic features characters that Tanaka designed as mascot characters for the PARK Harajuku retail store. Crunchyroll News and Otaku USA magazine editor-in-chief Macias collaborated to create the webcomic's story.
