Anime adapting 1st 2 parts of Hirohiko Araki's manga premiered in Japan in 2012

Animax Asia began streaming a video on Thursday that reveals it will air the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure television anime beginning on August 10. The anime will air on Wednesday to Friday every week at 10:00 p.m. GMT +8.

The anime premiered in Japan in 2012. The show adapts JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 1: Phantom Blood and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 2: Battle Tendency, the first two parts of Hirohiko Araki's long-running JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. The first part centers on the conflict between Jonathan Joestar, an English aristocrat, and Dio Brando, Jonathan's adopted brother. Tempted by the power of an ancient stone mask, Dio uses it to become a vampire, committing tragedies on Jonathan's family in his quest for ultimate power, while Jonathan himself prepares to stop Dio. The second part centers on Joseph Joestar, Jonathan's grandson, who is embroiled in the awakening of the Pillar Men. The Pillar Men are powerful beings from the dawn of history who have recently awoken to seek the Red Stone of Aja to eliminate their one weakness and finally become the ultimate being. Jonathan must enlist the aid of spiritualists, martial arts masters, and Nazi soldiers in order to stop them.

The manga's Part 3 inspired another television anime project from April to September 2014, and from January to June 2015.

Animax is currently airing JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable, the adaptation of Part 4 of the manga. The anime premiered in Japan in April 2016.

The original manga by Hirohiko Araki is inspiring a live-action film that will open in Japan on August 4. Odex will open the film in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
