Gundam Build Fighters: Battlogue Episode 1 Streams With English Subtitles

The Gundam.info website began streaming the first 11-minute episode of the Gundam Build Fighters: Battlogue anime on Friday. The video is available with subtitles in several languages, including English. The website also revealed that a second episode will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in early September.

The first short film is streaming in Japan on Amazon Prime Video, the Gundam Fan Club, Bandai Channel, the anime's official website, and the Bandai Hobby site.

The short film series features "dream battles" with various situations and Gunpla. Sunrise describes the first episode:

Meijin Kawaguchi and Allan Adams are visiting Yajima Trading's research and development center, in order to test the battle system's newly implemented automatic control mode. This automatic control mode is a revolutionary new option that makes it easy for even people with no control skills to play Gunpla Battle, using quasi-personality AIs based on pilots from various Gundam works. With the Meijin using the Ballistic Zaku, the successor to the Zaku Amazing, and Allan using the Reversible Gundam, a customized version of the Reborns Gundam, they each choose an AI and begin the Gunpla Battle of their dreams.

Veteran animator and director Masami Ōbari, who has himself served as a key animator and mecha animator in both Gundam Build Fighters and Gundam Build Fighters Try, directed the short film. Yousuke Kuroda wrote the srcipt. Kunio Okawara, Kanitake Ebikawa, and Takayuki Yanase are credited with mechanical design. FAKY performed the ending theme song "Chase Me."

Gundam Build Fighters: Battlogue is one of two anime comprising the Gundam Build _Extra Battle Project project. The other anime is titled Gundam Build Fighters: GM no Gyakushū (GM's Counterattack) and it will premiere on August 25. The story will focus on Sei Iori and the original cast of Gundam Build Fighters in a new story. Kenji Nagasaki, the director of the first Gundam Build Fighters anime, will return for the project. Kenichi Ohnuki is returning as character designer, with Suzuhito Yasuda credited for character design cooperation. Kunio Okawara, Junichi Akutsu, Junya Ishigaki, Kanetake Ebikawa, and Kenji Teraoka are all returning as mechanical designers. Kuroda is writing the scripts

The first Gundam Build Fighters television anime series aired from October 2013 to March 2014. Gundam Build Fighters Try aired from October 2014 to April 2015, and the Gundam Build Fighters Try Island Wars television special aired in August 2016. Gundam.info streamed both series and the special with English subtitles as they aired in Japan, and Crunchyroll later added the two series streaming. Right Stuf released both on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in North America last year.
