posted on by Justin Piselli
Tickets for N. American screenings go on sale November 15

Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will screen the first four Black Clover episodes in select North American theaters on December 6, 9 and 10. Tickets will go on sale on November 15.

Crunchyroll describes the story:

In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder's magic. Asta's is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent's spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!

The anime based on Yūki Tabata's Black Clover manga premiered in Japan on October 3. Crunchyroll is streaming the series in Japanese with English subtitles and Funimation began streaming the show's English dub on October 29. The anime's website lists the anime with four cours and 51 episodes.

28-year-old anime director Tatsuya Yoshihara (Monster Musume, Yatterman Night, Muromi-san, Long Riders!) is directing the anime at Studio Pierrot. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Is the order a rabbit?, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Yatterman Night) is handling the series composition. Itsuko Takeda (Ristorante Paradiso, Level E, Blue Drop) is the character designer and Kumiko Tokunaga (2nd season of Kingdom) is the sub-character designer. Kosei Takahashi (key animation for Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Monster Hunter Stories RIDE ON) is the prop designer, Aiko Shinohara (Fairy Tail, The Heroic Legend of Arslan) is handling the color design, and Minako Seki (The Silver Guardian, both seasons of Kingdom) is composing the music.

The screening is part of Crunchyroll, Screenvision Media, and KAOS Connect's "Anime Movie Night" event series.
