Crossover character debuts in spring 2018

Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a new video for its Tekken 7 fighting game on Monday. The video reveals that Noctis Lucis Caelum from Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV game will join Tekken 7's roster of playable characters in spring 2018.

Tekken 7 launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam on June 2. The game was originally slated for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC in the West in early 2017, and in spring 2017 in Japan.

Bandai Namco Entertainment released an arcade update for Tekken 7 titled Tekken 7: Fated Retribution in July 2016 in Japan. The update includes a graphics update as well as a new system, new stages, new costumes, new items, and new characters. Bandai Namco Entertainment added Akuma (Gōki) from CAPCOM's Street Fighter games and Nina Williams as playable characters in the update. Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is the basis for the game's launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The game will also add Geese Howard from SNK's Fatal Fury and King of Fighters games as a playable character this winter.
