Servamp Anime Film's 1st Video Reveals Spring 2018 Premiere

Main cast, staff return for Gekijōban Servamp: Alice in the Garden-

An official website for the anime film adaptation of Strike Tanaka's Servamp manga opened on Wednesday and revealed the first teaser video and key visual for the film. The film, titled Gekijōban Servamp: Alice in the Garden-, will open in Japan in spring 2018.

The film's story will deal with Misono Alicein's past. The main cast from the television anime will reprise their roles. Hideaki Nakano is returning to direct the film at Platinum Vision, and Junko Yamanaka is again designing the characters. Ayumu Hisao (Yowamushi Pedal: Spare Bike, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) is replacing Kenji Konuta to write the script.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in North America, and it describes the manga:

When a stray black cat named Kuro crosses Mahiru Shirota's path, the high school freshman's life will never be the same again. Kuro is, in fact, no ordinary feline, but a Servamp: a servant vampire. While Mahiru's personal philosophy is one of non-intervention, he soon becomes embroiled in an ancient, altogether surreal conflict between vampires and humans.

Tanaka launched the series in Monthly Comic Gene in 2011, and Kadokawa published the manga's 10th compiled book volume last July. The 11th volume is slated to ship on December 27. Seven Seas published the manga's 10th volume in August. The manga resumed in April after an announced hiatus in January due to pain in Tanaka's intervertebral disk and shoulder. Tanaka has since recovered.

The manga inspired a television anime in July 2016, and Funimation streamed the series with English subtitles and an English dub. Crunchyroll began streaming the series in October.
