M&C! Licenses Falling Star Beside Me, Ellie is Lovesick Manga

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Both manga slated for January 3

Indonesian publisher M&C! announced last week that it has licensed Kotoyu Tamura's Falling Star Beside Me (Tonari kara Nagareboshi) and Fujimomo's @Ellie is Lovesick (Koi Wazurai no Ellie ) manga. Both manga are slated to begin releasing on January 3.

M&C! describes Falling Star Beside Me:

It's impossible that my exceeding mediocrity could complement the way you shine in any way. We just live in completely different worlds. That's why I want to get away from you, before I realize that these feelings I have are love. So then, why did you suddenly kiss me?

Tamura launched the manga in Shogakukan's Betsucomi magazine in 2016, and ended it in the same year. Shogakukan published the book in November 2016, and it includes a story that was not serialized.

M&C! has also published Tamura's other manga, including Poetry of Love (Koisuru Koto no Ha), 37.2º The Warmth of Your Love (Heinetsu 37.2ºC), Love at First Sight (3-byō, Sude ni Koi), and Knight's Love Triangle (Kanojo to Watashi to Knight no Jijō).

@Ellie is Lovesick centers around Eriko Ichimura, a girl who spends her high school days in complete obscurity. Her sole hobby is staring at handsome, smooth-spoken Akira "Omi-kun" Ohmi, and tweeting her daily fantasies under the screenname "Lovesick @Ellie." One fateful day, she accidentally bears witness to Omi-kun's true self — and if that weren't enough, he sees her mortifying Twitter, too! Follow along with a plain, perverted girl, a two-faced boy, and their curious romance!

Fujimomo launched the manga in Kodansha's Dessert magazine in October 2015, and Kodansha published the ongoing manga's fifth compiled book volume on September 13.

M&C! previously published Fujimomo's Kiss to Fast Love (Hatsukoi ni Kiss) manga in November 2015.
