Promo video streamed for project

Shogakukan launched the planned crowdfunding campaign on the Makuake website on Sunday for an anime adaptation of Imomushi Narita's It's MY LIFE fantasy manga.

Shogakukan's "Manga ONE" app is also streaming a promotional video for the project. The promo video features voice cast members Tetsu Inada as Astra and Hiromi Igarashi as Noa.

The project is aiming to raise 5 million yen (about US$46,000), and as of press time has raised 1.435 million yen (about US$13,200) by 107 supporters. 5 million yen will fund a three-minute video plus an ending. Stretch goals include 7 million yen (about US$64,400) for a five-minute video plus an ending, 10 million yen (about US$92,000) for an eight-minute video plus an ending, and 15 million yen (about US$138,000) for an eight-minute video plus an opening and ending.

Supporter rewards include the anime on DVD, a calendar, bookmarks, a credit in the ending, a mousepad, a key holder, a special illustration, and more.

Hisayoshi Hirasawa (Miss Bernard said., Netsuzou Trap -NTR-, Ojisan to Marshmallow) is slated to be the chief director of the anime at studio Creators in Pack (Love is Like a Cocktail, Kiitaro's yokai picture diary, Miss Bernard said.). Yū Fujisaki is the animation director, Kouji Hayashi (Love is Like a Cocktail, Ojisan to Marshmallow) is the director of photography, Miyuki Ueji is in charge of 2D works, and Taichi Hatanaka is the animation producer.

The manga's story begins when Astra, a 35-year-old former head of the Imperial Knights, acquires his own house, retires early, and prepares to live a quiet domestic life. However, on the first day of Astra's retired home life, a young witch named Noa crashes into his home, and forces him to take her as a servant.

The manga launched alongside Shogakukan's Manga ONE app in December 2014. Shogakukan published the manga's ninth volume on December 12. The series has 450,000 copies in print. Narita launched a new manga titled KILLING ME/KILLING YOU alongside Kadokawa's new Bessatsu Dragon Age magazine on September 25.
