Yoshiki Tonogai Ends Ikitemasu ka? Honda-kun Manga

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Tonogai launched manga about romance in zombie-infested world in 2016

The March issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine published the final chapter of Yoshiki Tonogai's Ikitemasu ka? Honda-kun (Honda, Are You Alive?) manga on Saturday. The magazine also revealed that the manga's third and final compiled book volume is slated for May.

The manga centers on air-headed girl Arisu, who one day receives a confession of love from Honda. However, the world has been taken over by zombies, so it may not be the right time for romance. Arisu tries to live happily in a zombie-filled world, while Honda holds some secrets of his own. Together, the two try to survive in this new world.

Tonogai launched the manga in Monthly Shonen Gangan in July 2016. Square Enix published the manga's second compiled book volume last October.

Tonogai's Doubt manga ran in Monthly Shōnen Gangan from 2007-2009 and Yen Press released the series in English. After finishing Doubt, Tonogai launched another psychological horror manga, Judge, in the same magazine from 2010-2012. Yen Press also released that series in English. A live-action version of Judge opened in Japan in 2013.

Tonogai then launched the Secret manga in Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan in 2013, and ended it in 2015. Yen Press also released the series digitally and in print.
