The anime will stream in Japan only on the Fuji-on-Demand (FOD) service starting on April 9 at 11:30 p.m.

The site also revealed a new key visual.

The site also revealed the theme song titles for the previously revealed theme song artists. Man With A Mission is performing the show's opening theme song "Winding Road," and The Sixth Lie is performing the ending theme song "Hibana."

The anime stars:

Jin Aketagawa is the sound director at Magic Capsule, Hiroshi Nakagawa is the Ainu language supervisor, Eugenio Uzhinin is the Russian language supervisor, and Kenichiro Suehiro is composing the music.

Viz Media is releasing the manga in English, and it describes the first volume:

In the early twentieth century, Russo-Japanese War veteran Saichi “Immortal” Sugimoto scratches out a meager existence during the postwar gold rush in the wilderness of Hokkaido. When he stumbles across a map to a fortune in hidden Ainu gold, he sets off on a treacherous quest to find it. But Sugimoto is not the only interested party, and everyone who knows about the gold will kill to possess it! Faced with the harsh conditions of the northern wilderness, ruthless criminals and rogue Japanese soldiers, Sugimoto will need all his skills and luck—and the help of an Ainu girl named Asirpa—to survive.

Noda launched the ongoing manga in Shueisha's Young Jump magazine in 2014. Shueisha published the 12th volume on December 19. The manga has 4.2 million copies in print.

Noda received a Manga Taisho award for the manga in March 2016. The series was also nominated for Best General Manga at the 40th annual Kodansha Manga Awards and for the 20th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2016.
