The cast for Satelight's television anime of Kōji Natsumi's Girly Air Force light novel series announced another cast member and a manga adaptation at Komatsu Base Air Show 2018 on Sunday. Hitomi Ohwada will play Eagle, an "Anima" girl who pilots the "Daughter" fighter planes. Takahiro Seguchi is launching the manga adaptation of the light novel series in the December issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine on October 26.

The event also unveiled a collaboration visual between the anime and Japan's Air Self-Defense Force:

In the novels' story, mysterious flying creatures known as Zai suddenly appear, and in order to fight the creatures, mankind creates fighter aircraft called "Daughters," as well as the automatic fighting mechanism "Anima," which are shaped like human girls. The story centers on a young man named Kei Narutani, who yearns to fly in the sky, and an Anima considered to be humanity's trump card, a girl named Gripen.

The cast stars:

The anime will premiere in winter 2019. These two cast members will appear at the Dengeki Bunko 25th Anniversary Fall Dengeki Festival with "secret guests" on October 7.

Natsumi launched the series in 2014, and Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint published the ninth novel volume on June 9. Asagi Tōsaka provides the illustrations for the novels.

Natsumi previously worked on the series composition for Gust's Blue Reflection game.
