Youmacon to Host Animator Shuji Maruyama, Manga Creator Hiroshi Shiibashi

Detroit convention Youmacon announced in September that it will host animator Shuji Maruyama and manga creator Hiroshi Shiibashi.
Maruyama has worked as a key animator and animation director in many anime productions, most recently in Hanebado!. He also has credits in Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa, Eden of the East, Bleach, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Persona 3 the Movie #2 Midsummer Knight's Dream, Macross Delta, Restaurant to Another World, Luck & Logic, and Invaders of the Rokujyōma!?, among many others.
Shiibashi is the creator of the Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, Illegal Rare, and Tsukumogami: Teito Jōhōbu Tokkenchobōin Serosero Nanashiki manga. Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan ran from 2008 to 2012 with 25 volumes and inspired two television anime seasons in 2010 and 2011.
Other Japanese guests include Junichi Hayama, Shigefumi Shingaki, and Mamoru Yokota. The convention will be held from November 1-4 at the Cobo Center and The Renaissance Center.
