Kadinche, Samurai also co-found venture to develop new entertainment technology

Movie studio Sholchiku, R&D company Kadinche, and athlete Dai Tamesue's Samurai creative consulting company revealed on December 28 that they launched a joint venture company named Miecle in May 2018, with a focus on researching virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies for use in entertainment. Shochiku owns a 51% controlling stake in the new venture, with Kadinche owning 39%, and Samurai owning 10%.

The new venture will also support AI development, VTubers (virtual YouTubers), education, and real estate. The company's website also noted that it will use its technology to support Shochiku's Obake Yashiki Honpo (Haunted House Office) project, as well as stage and kabuki productions.
