Discotek to Release Beyblade G Revolution Anime, X-Bomber Puppet Series

Discotek Media announced on Monday that it has licensed Beyblade G Revolution and plans to release the anime on standard definition Blu-ray Disc. Discotek also announced that it will release Star Fleet on a standard definition Blu-ray Disc set that also includes the original Japanese Super Space Machine X Bomber (X-Bomber) series.

Discotek's release of Beyblade G-Revolution is listed on Right Stuf for March 26. The release will have all 52 English-dubbed episodes. Discotek describes the story:

Tyson is the world's best beyblader, and he's getting all that comes with it--fame, cheering fans, and brand new rivals hoping to prove themselves! But the biggest challenge is the brand new World Beyblade Tournament, this time with a new format that focuses on tag team matches. However, this tournament won't be as simple as the ones before, as old friends become challengers, and old enemies emerge once again. Tyson's path to victory is fraught with danger, as powerful new beyblades and even stronger Bit-Beasts show up one after another.

Beyblade G Revolution, the third Beyblade anime series, originally aired in Japan in 2003. Nelvana produced an English dub that aired on U.S. television. Funimation released part of the series on DVD, but the series has never had a full home video release in the United States.

Discotek plans to release the first Beyblade series on January 29 and Beyblade: V-Force on February 26.

Discotek will release Star Fleet/X-Bomber on March 26. Discotek describes the series:

In 2999, just as the people of Earth begin to enjoy the peace following the end of the Space War III, the Imperial alliance under the Imperial Master launch a new assault. Facing the evil alliance, Earth's defending forces are ill prepared for another war and pin their hopes on Dr Benn Robinson and his new X-Bomber program. What is the F-01 which the Imperial Alliance so eagerly pursues? What fate awaits the young crew of X-Bomber? This is an ambitious example of Supermariorama combining puppets and special effects from Japan.

The 26-episode Super Space Machine X Bomber television puppet series aired from 1980 to 1981. Gō Nagai created the series' original concept.

Discotek previously released the series on DVD in February 2017, but the set only had the English dub produced for the United Kingdom in the early 80s. Paul Bliss performed the English theme song, which was covered by Brian May in 1983.
