Anime of Nio Nakatani's manga debuted in October

Nio Nakatani's Bloom Into You (Yagate Kimi ni Naru) yuri manga is inspiring a stage play that will run in May. An official website for the adaptation launched on Saturday.

The manga already inspired an anime adaptation that premiered on October 5. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime, and HIDIVE streamed the series with English subtitles as it aired in Japan.

HIDIVE describes the story:

Yuu loves shoujo manga and waits for a love confession to make her feel like a character from her favorite stories but when a classmate admits his feelings, she feels nothing. Time passes and Yuu begins high school feeling lost and confused. Things begin to look up when she witnesses Nanami, the beautiful student council president, effortlessly turn down a boy. Yuu reaches out to Nanami for help and the two quickly become friends. Yuu's heart is suddenly sent aflutter when the next person to confess their feelings is Nanami! Is Yuu's own shoujo romance finally beginning?

Makoto Katō (Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation-) directed the anime at TROYCA (Aldnoah.Zero, Re:CREATORS). Jukki Hanada (Sound! Euphonium, Love Live!, A Place Further Than the Universe) supervised and wrote the scripts.

Nakatani launched the manga in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh in April 2015. Kadokawa published the manga's sixth volume on September 27. The publisher also released a comic anthology for the series on December 25. The manga has more than 700,000 copies in print in Japan. Seven Seas Entertainment shipped the manga's fifth volume in English on August 14, and the sixth volume will ship on March 26.
