Deltora Quest Children's Book Series Author Emily Rodda Honored with Companion of the Order of Australia

Jennifer Rowe (penname Emily Rodda), the author of the Deltora Quest children's fantasy book series, was honored with the Companion of the Order of Australia, the highest honor in the Order of Australia, on Friday.
Rodda's book series inspired a 10-volume manga adaptation by artist Makoto Niwano from 2005 to 2008. Kodansha Comics released the manga in English.
The novels also inspired a 65-episode television anime series that aired in Japan from 2007 through 2008. The series has aired on Hasbro and the Discovery Channel's U.S. television channel The Hub, and also on Cartoon Network in Australia and New Zealand. (The English version of the series has 52 episodes.)
Cinedigm released the anime on DVD in June 2014. Crunchyroll began streaming the series in 2015.
Queen Elizabeth II established the Order of Australia in 1975 as "an Australian society of honour for the purpose of according recognition to Australian citizens and other persons for achievement or for meritorious service."
