1st volume of manga about police internal affairs investigators ships on March 20

Indonesian publisher M&C! revealed on Wednesday that it has licensed Hiro Kiyohara's Anti-Detective (Tantei no Tantei) manga, and it will ship the first volume on March 20.

The manga centers on Kotoha Minemori, a woman who has been offered work at Suma Research Company's "Anti-Detective Section," and Rena Sasaki, that section's only investigator. The section focuses on rooting out corrupt detectives and removing them from their positions. While the two women spend their days investigating crooked cops, a new criminal is making his move.

The manga launched in Kodansha's Young Magazine in May 2016, and ended in May 2017. Kodansha released two compiled book volumes for the manga.

The manga is based on Keisuke Matsuoka's mystery novel series of the same name. Kiyohara also illustrated the novel series. Matsuoka launched the original novel series in 2014, and published four novels in the main series. The novels also spawned the Tantei no Kantei spinoff series, the second of which ends the story from the original novels. The novels inspired an 11-episode live-action television series in 2015.

Kiyohara launched a manga adaptation of Yukito Ayatsuji's Another horror novel in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine in 2010, and ended it in 2012. Kadokawa published four volumes for the manga. Kiyohara also drew the two-chapter Another0 manga in Young Ace in 2012. Ayatsuji published the original novel in Japan in 2009. The novel inspired a 2012 anime by P.A. Works, with character designs by Noizi Ito. Ayatsuji published a sequel novel titled Another: Episode S in 2013, and a second sequel titled Another 2001 in 2014.
