Ghibli Screenings and Q&As at British Museum

Screenings followed by live Q&A sessions: My Neighbor Totoro, Pom Poko, Princess Kaguya and The Wind Rises

The British Museum is holding screenings of four Studio Ghibli films, including The Wind Rises, pictured right. Each screening will be followed by a live Q&A. The tickets can be booked here.

All screenings are in Japanese, and will take place in the BP Lecture Theatre. Each screening will include complementary Japanese sake, and will be followed by a Q&A with leading anime experts recorded live for the podcast Ghibliotheque.

- My Neighbor Totoro on Friday June 21 at 6.30 p.m, followed by a Q&A with Helen McCarthy, author of Hayao Miyazaki: Master of Japanese Animation and British Museum curator Nicole Rousmaniere.

- Pom Poko on Friday July 5 at 7.30 p.m., followed by a Q&A with Simon Wright, Director of Programming at Japan House, and British Museum curator Matsuba Ryoko.

- The Tale of the Princess Kaguya on Friday August 2 at 6.30 p.m., followed by Q&A with Rayna Denison, author of Anime: A Critical Introduction, artist Hitomi Hosono and British Museum Curator Nicole Rousmaniere.

- The Wind Rises on Friday August 9 at 6.30 p.m., followed by a Q&A with Museum curator Hiromi Uchida and a special guest.
